The Los Angeles Lakers have been playing better basketball as of late and are firmly entrenched in their Play-In Tournament spot.
The Lakers are the ninth seed in the Western Conference, though they have an outside shot to move up in the standings.
Despite a recent loss to the Indiana Pacers, Los Angeles is still in decent shape though the conversation has already begun to shift to their offseason plans.
It’s no secret around the league that the Lakers would like to bolster their roster with another star player as they made a few offers around the NBA trade deadline.
L.A. will be armed with more assets to use in a potential trade this offseason and they are likely to go star hunting again.
Laker legend Shaquille O’Neal had some ideas on how he would fix the roster which included shipping out Austin Reaves via The Big Podcast.
“Got to get rid of Reaves,” O’Neal said. “Give me another guy that can do that but a guy that’s a little more consistent.

Reaves is arguably the team’s most attractive trade piece and would need to be included in any deal that brought back a star-level player.
O’Neal also adds that he would add at least three or four more shooters to flank LeBron James and Anthony Davis, though that’s a lot easier said than done.
This summer will be a pivotal one for the Lakers as they try to keep their championship window open, and Reaves could very well see himself on the way out if the right trade presents itself.
