The NBA continues to get more and more talented each year.

While there are still many legendary players in the league, the amount of talented young players is astounding.

Looking across the NBA landscape, many star players are under 25 years old.

Also, looking at the recent All-Star teams reveals an influx of youth.

One player that has a ton of hype around him is Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton.

According to James Boyd via Legion Hoops, Shaq thinks Haliburton will be the face of the league in four or five years.

Shaq said: “The league should belong to him.”

Haliburton has emerged as one of the best players in the league this year.

He is a maestro with the ball and leads the NBA in assists per game.

His 21.8 points and 11.7 assists are both career highs.

We have seen him increase those two stats every year of his career.

What is interesting about Haliburton is that he did not begin his ascension until he was traded.

He began his career as a Sacramento King but was traded to the Pacers for Domantas Sabonis.

It was a win-win deal for both teams.

The Pacers gave Haliburton the key to their team and he ran with it.

He has helped lead the Pacers into the sixth seed in the East.

While they are one of the best offensive teams in the league, their defense is abysmal.

They are allowing 122.3 points per game and that is not going to cut it.

Haliburton is not a great defensive player.

But if he continues to dominate the game on offense he very well may end up the face of the league.
