The Golden State Warriors have enjoyed a lot of success over the last decade, and Draymond Green has been part of the team throughout the franchise’s era of dominance.

However, Green is no longer in the prime of his career, and the four-time NBA champion’s frustration is evidently quite apparent on the floor.

Green has already been a part of a plethora of unnecessary altercations this year as well.

Keeping that in mind, the NBA has indefinitely suspended Green, as many believe he needs counseling to be back on track.

While most agree with this narrative around Green, former NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal mentioned why that’s absurd, via Legion Hoops on Twitter.

“I hate that y’all put that narrative on him. The man don’t need counseling — on the court, he don’t need nothing. Off the court, he’s a solid human being — he’s a good man,” O’Neal said.

Shaq says there’s nothing wrong with Draymond Green:

O’Neal pointed out that there is nothing wrong with Green and he is not only a solid player on the court, but also a great person off the court.

While Green’s back-to-back suspensions have been one of the biggest talking points for the media, it has somewhat overshadowed his performance this season.

Green is averaging 9.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game for the Warriors this season.

Although Green’s rebounding and playmaking numbers have undoubtedly taken a hit, he is averaging the most points per game in his career since the 2017-18 NBA season.

With that being said, if Draymond Green can find a way to get back in rhythm, he could be the key to helping the Warriors out of their slump this season.

The Warriors are currently playing like their past selves, as they are now on a three-game winning streak after their most recent victory over the Boston Celtics.
