In case you hadn’t noticed it, Los Angeles Angels star Shohei Ohtani is very good at baseball.
He does everything: he can pitch 100-mph and throw a wicked splitter/slider combination, he can win MVP awards in both MLB and the World Baseball Classic, he takes walks, he is sneaky fast, and athletic.
Oh, and he can hit the ball really, really hard.
On Monday, he homered for a second consecutive game in the Angels’ victory over the Seattle Mariners.
He had gone yard on Sunday against the Oakland Athletics, too.
His home runs not only leave the field: they are punished.
“Most 110+ mph HR since 2021: Aaron Judge: 41, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 35, Shohei Ohtani: 34, Giancarlo Stanton: 33, Yordan Alvarez: 28,” Sarah Langs tweeted.

We don’t know if you have seen how a 110-mph ball looks off the bat, but that exit velocity is really difficult to achieve.
It requires sheer strength, footwork, explosive hips and thighs, and quick wrists to attack the ball and hit it that hard.
Ohtani, as you can see, has the third-most home runs hit at a minimum of 110 mph since the 2021 campaign.
That was the year in which he hit 46 bombs and was crowned the AL MVP.
He hit 34 more last year on his way to an MVP runner-up finish to the leader of this list, Judge.
Ohtani already has two, plus one in the Classic.
He is starting to find his power stroke, and that is bad, bad news for the rest of the league.
He is a physical specimen in his prime and with motivation to have an enormous season.
