As the summer months begin, we are starting to get a much clearer picture of what the rest of the 2023 season has in store for us.
For the Los Angeles Angels, Shohei Ohtani has been on a tear as of late.
The two-way superstar earned American League MVP honors in 2021 and finished second behind Aaron Judge in the race last season.
But in the month of June, he has been on an absolute tear.
MLB Network posted a list of the OPS leaders throughout baseball for the month of June, and that list features a familiar face at the top.

Ohtani has an OPS of 1.404 in the month of June as he sits at the top of this list.
He’s got several young stars in the same company as him that are close behind on the list.
Corbin Carroll ranks in second with an OPS of 1.392, while Fernando Tatis Jr., Gunnar Henderson, and Corey Seager round out the list with OPS marks of 1.387, 1.350, and 1.287, respectively.
But to the surprise of nobody, Ohtani ranks at the top of the list.
His stats at the plate have been very impressive this season.
He is hitting for a .299 average and already has 21 home runs, which is the most in the American League.
Ohtani also has a WAR of 4.2, 52 RBI, 10 stolen bases, an on-base percentage of .377, a slugging percentage of .610, and an OPS of .987 for the season.
As usual, Ohtani is one of the hottest hitters in all of baseball as he continues to impress those around the game.
