Los Angeles Angels superstar Shohei Ohtani continues to terrorize both pitchers and hitters with his talent to play baseball.

He is the most feared slugger in the game at the moment and is up to a .297/.379/.630 line with a whopping 26 home runs.

However, he is also a legitimate ace with a 3.13 ERA in 89 innings.

He has also accumulated 117 strikeouts as a hurler and the lowest batting average against in MLB.

“HE ALSO LEADS QUALIFIED PITCHERS IN OPPONENT BATTING AVERAGE AT .179. Shohei Ohtani is the first player to have a share of the MLB lead in HR hit AND batting average allowed (min 70 IP) at the end of any given day since 1900. This has been true many days, now,” MLB stats expert Sarah Langs tweeted.

Ohtani went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk, and a stolen base in Monday’s 2-1 win against the Chicago White Sox.

He has been unstoppable for a few weeks now and there is no one in the American League even in the same conversation as him for the AL MVP award.

He looks on his way to another unanimous MVP, like it happened in 2021.

His contributions as a hitter and as a pitcher are keeping the Angels in the race for the AL West.

As of Tuesday afternoon, they are 43-37, five games behind the Texas Rangers and tied with the Houston Astros.

The Seattle Mariners are also right there, with a 38-39 record and 3.5 games behind the Angels and Astros.

The AL West will be extremely exciting until the end of the regular season.
