Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani is a man of many talents.

Even those who don’t follow baseball know that the league hasn’t seen a player who can be so dominant at both hitting and pitching at the same stage of his career, not even Babe Ruth.

However, we are not here to praise him for his on-field achievements.

We are here to celebrate the strides he has made speaking in English.

The Japanese has an interpreter at his disposal and has for a number of years.

But it was great to watch him deliver his AL MVP speech in English.

FOX Sports: MLB brings us a cool video of Ohtani addressing the audience.

Ohtani thanked his fans and the Baseball Writers’ Association of America (BBWAA).

He also thanked the writers who gave him their vote.

“Winning this award means the world to me,” he stated.

Ohtani, who is a classy gentleman, thanked and recognized the Los Angeles Angels organization, ownership, and front office, plus the staff.

He didn’t forget about his teammates and coaching staff with the Angels, and said he is looking forward to his next chapter with the Dodgers.

Overall, he gave a great speech and he made himself clear in a foreign language.

That’s certainly not easy.

He won the award with his 44 home runs and 1.066 OPS as a hitter, and his 3.14 ERA and 167 strikeouts as a pitcher even though he didn’t play in September with elbow and oblique injuries.

He is one of a kind and keeps showing it every day.
