With just 33 seconds left in Wednesday night’s game, Indiana Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle was ejected for arguing with the referees.
He was obviously enraged and stormed off the court only seconds before his team lost.
Skip Bayless believes that Carlisle is at fault for the team’s defeat and feels that the Pacers are lacking a “closer,” which is severely hurting their chances against the New York Knicks.
On Twitter, Bayless wrote, “I don’t see a closer for the Pacers. I did not like how Rick Carlisle made his press conference all about the referees. He was at fault.”

Instead of talking about his team’s failure, Carlisle spent most of his post-game conference speaking about the refs and their impact on the game.
“I’m always talking to our guys about not making it about the officials, but we deserve a fair shot,” he said, according to ESPN.
He may be upset with what he saw from the game’s officials but Bayless thinks the problem lies with the fact that the Pacers don’t have a closer to wrap up games.
There are obviously multiple talented stars on the roster, including Pascal Siakam, Myles Turner, and Tyrese Haliburton.
But none of them are guiding the team and coming through in the clutch moments of the game to claim victory.
Meanwhile, the Knicks seem to be filled with nothing but closers, including Jalen Brunson, who only rises to the occasion and has been performing so well in the playoffs.
Things are getting desperate for the Pacers and they are now down 0-2.
Carlisle and his team are upset with the refs but they need to put their focus elsewhere if they want to win Game 3.
