At this point in the NFL offseason, Dallas Cowboys fans usually rave about how their team could finally get back to the Super Bowl.
That doesn’t seem to be the case this time around.
Jerry Jones didn’t live up to his word of going all-in this offseason. He allowed key players to leave, only brought back Ezekiel Elliott, and didn’t give any of their big stars a contract extension as of yet.
That’s why Skip Bayless believes the owner might be setting up Dak Prescott for failure.
In the latest edition of his podcast, the controversial pundit and renowned Cowboys fan called out Jones for allowing the team to enter the upcoming season with two rookies on the offensive line.

Bayless also points out that the team has no clear workhorse running back.
On top of that, star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is unhappy with the organization because he wants a contract extension, as he should.
Prescott hasn’t gotten a contract extension, either, and the quarterback is the one who’s going to suffer more because of the uncertainty.
If Jones is indeed just trying to make him look bad so his market value doesn’t go up, that still doesn’t necessarily mean the QB will re-sign with Dallas for less money as a free agent.
The Cowboys are playing with fire, as Lamb could grow tired of his situation and force his way out, all while Prescott eventually walks away for free.
Jones’ mind games and power struggles may have worked out for him in the business world, but there’s a reason why this once-great team hasn’t won a title in decades.
