The Los Angeles Lakers have now lost seven straight games to the Denver Nuggets.

That includes a 4-0 sweep in the Western Conference Finals.

Clearly, Nikola Jokic and company have Darvin Ham’s team’s number, and they’re simply better right now.

However, despite them being clearly the superior team, Skip Bayless believes LeBron James should be to blame for yet another setback.

Following the loss, the renowned pundit took to Twitter to call out LeBron for going 2-for-8 in the fourth quarter and a crucial turnover late in the game to help the visitors secure the win.

“Well, LeBron did it again against Denver, just as he did in all 4 conference finals losses – he faded in the fourth. 2-8 with a crucial turnover dribbling off his own knee,” Bayless said.

Well, LeBron did it again against Denver, just as he did in all 4 conference finals losses – he faded in the fourth. 2-8 with a crucial turnover dribbling off his own knee. But yes, Denver is just better right now and the Lakers are just too injured.

James still finished the game with 25 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists, but to no avail.

The Nuggets led the entire game and won three out of four quarters, so it’s not like it was solely on LeBron.

Also, they were without D’Angelo Russell, who was a late addition to the injury report.

Truth be told, LeBron shouldn’t be putting up these numbers at this age, and it’s not like he has anything else to prove at this point in his career, especially in the clutch.

Great players will have great moments late in games, but they will also lose a lot; that’s just what happens when you have the ball in your hands as often as LeBron does.

The fact of the matter is that the Lakers are no match for the Nuggets.

They don’t have the players or the coaching to keep up with the defending champions, and they’re not a championship-caliber team right now.
