The legacy of LeBron James is something that will always be debated.
No one in NBA history has played at a high level for a longer period than James.
That is why the Michael Jordan vs. James debates are so intense when talking about the greatest basketball player of all time.
But, James is one player that gets criticized for any move that he makes.
One move that shook up the NBA was when James left the Cleveland Cavaliers for the Miami Heat.
That decision was heard around the world and changed the landscape of the league.
James recently said he would still be at this current level regardless of his Miami stint.
Skip Bayless, via “Undisputed,” believes that James’ career would have been much different if he never played in Miami.
He said: “He did choose the perfect circumstance for him at that moment.”

If James never joined the Heat, you can make an easy case that he does not have four championship rings.
His legacy would not be as strong as it is and he would not be in the GOAT conversation.
Bayless even brought up how James was saved from losing another NBA Finals in 2014.
Ray Allen hitting a game-tying three-pointer kept the Heat’s season alive and vaulted them to the championship.
So while James would still have all the statistical milestones and accolades, if he never went to Miami his career would be looked at much differently because he would not have four championships.
