Team USA was able to beat South Sudan in an Olympic exhibition game this weekend, but just barely.

The 101-100 win was a wake-up call for the Americans, proving that things could be very intense and tough in the upcoming Paris games.

On Monday’s “Undisputed,” Skip Bayless spoke about the team’s struggles and listed some of his concerns.

His biggest was that it seems Steph Curry sets the tone for Team USA and if he isn’t shooting well, the entire group is in trouble.

If the American team gets into a shooting contest with other squads during the Olympics, they might lose.

Team USA has a lot of upsides and some of the best players in the NBA.

But if they aren’t shooting well and their opponents are, they will be out of luck.

That is what happened during the game against South Sudan: the underdog team continually landed the shots they attempted.

Team USA tried hard but it seemed like they couldn’t keep up and fell into a double-digit deficit.

They were able to come back, but only when their shooting improved.

What would have happened if Curry, LeBron James, and others didn’t find their shots and kept having trouble?

Team USA definitely knows what went wrong with that game and head coach Steve Kerr admitted that he didn’t handle it well.

In the days ahead, they will look at their match against South Sudan as a blueprint for what needs to be improved and changed before the Olympics kick off next week.
