The 2023 NFL Draft has been a whirlwind so far, and we have only completed the first round.
One of the most highly-anticipated offensive players was Utah TE Dalton Kincaid, who was drafted by the Buffalo Bills.
The Bills traded up to get Kincaid, which seemed to upset Skip Bayless and many other Dallas Cowboys fans.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I WAS ONE PICK AWAY FROM DALTON KINCAID — AND BUFFALO LEAP-FROGGED MY COWBOYS AND STOLE HIM RIGHT OUT FROM UNDER JERRY’S UPTURNED NOSE. DEVASTATING.

As Bayless points out, the Bills leapfrogged the Cowboys by moving up in the draft.
During the offseason, the Cowboys lost TE Dalton Schultz to the Houston Texans and were expected to draft a tight end to replace him.
Now, the Cowboys will have to go back to the drawing board, potentially targeting the position in Round 2 or later.
While this pick was discouraging for the Cowboys’ fanbase, Bills fans appear to be in favor of this selection given Kincaid’s pre-draft profile.
By adding Kincaid, Buffalo QB Josh Allen has another strong target alongside receivers Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis.
While Allen has been identified as one of the best quarterbacks in the AFC, adding a piece to their offense certainly helps.
The Bills are in an ever-crowded AFC, which is led by the likes of Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals, and Allen.
Last season, the Bills fell to the Bengals in the Divisional round, largely due to the Bengals’ formidable offense.
With that in mind, the Bills are hungry for revenge and will look to 2023 with their heads high and Kincaid in tow.
Will he be able to make an instant impact as many are projecting?
