The United States Olympic basketball team has experienced a roller coaster over the past several weeks.
After solidifying their roster and playing some exhibition games, fans and analysts have had an opportunity to watch what this team can do.
They narrowly beat South Sudan in a recent game, a matchup many believed Team USA would win handily.
Team USA had another narrow win over Team Germany, causing some to question the legitimacy of their gold medal chances down the stretch.
Skip Bayless commented on this on Twitter, saying, “If Team USA had Jordan in his prime today, it would’ve covered the 15.5-point spread.”

This is an indication that Bayless is frustrated with the strength of Team USA and that their roster might not be as strong as some are saying it is.
On one hand, Team USA has a few key veterans like LeBron James, Steph Curry, and Kevin Durant, but they also have some young, rising stars, like Anthony Edwards and Tyrese Haliburton.
Their roster lacks experience on a national stage, which could cause trouble down the stretch.
Yes, players like Edwards and Haliburton have played well to this point in the NBA, but international competition is a different beast.
Team USA has had several weeks to work out their growing pains, but when the Olympic competition begins, all of their preparation goes out the window.
Can they find a way to win the gold, despite all of the questions surrounding their team?
