Colorado football got off to a hot start last season after upsetting No. 17 TCU in Week 1 and getting off to a 3-0 start, but ultimately the wheels fell off and the Buffaloes wound up finishing a disappointing 4-8, which was still tied for the most wins they have had in a season since 2019.
Undisputed’s Skip Bayless still believes in the Buffs and made a shockingly strong statement in support of the team and its quarterback Shedeur Sanders on a recent episode of his show.
Bayless recently said that he thinks Sanders will lead Colorado to a Big 12 title in its first season back in the conference, saying about Sanders that “he is not just the best QB in that conference, but he’s the best QB in the country.”

People were talking about a national championship after Colorado started 3-0 last season, and it appears the media is drinking the Kool-Aid once again.
It’s a borderline indefensible take that Colorado will win the Big 12 over Texas, Oklahoma, or Oklahoma State, but crazier things have happened.
His take on Sanders is more valid, and he could certainly be in the mix for the Heisman if his team can win more than four games.
Colorado brought in the No. 30 recruiting class in 2023 and signed just two of ESPN’s Top 100 recruits in the 2024 class, so it’s fair to believe this team will be better than last season, but going from 4-8 to winning the Big 12 is a seismic leap that rarely ever happens in college football.
