The Dallas Mavericks and Oklahoma City Thunder have starred in a very exciting series.

Both teams have alternated big leads with epic comebacks, and while the Mavericks look to be in a position to finish the job, the youngest team in the playoffs was the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference for a reason.

That’s why, even though the Mavs won Game 5, sports analyst Skip Bayless believes the Thunder will force Game 7 with a win in Dallas.

That’s not much of a hot take, considering that the Thunder were one of the best teams in the league all season, so they clearly could come out firing and beating Jason Kidd’s team.

Then again, it seems like they lack the size and interior defense to keep the Mavs’ bigs from making an impact.

Chet Holmgren is a great rim protector, but he needs to bulk up a little, and he’s having trouble against Dereck Lively, Daniel Gafford, and PJ Washington.

Mark Daigneault tweaked his lineup by demoting Josh Giddey to the second unit, and it actually helped him find more offensive balance off the bench, especially considering how much he had been struggling.

Anything can happen at this point, so even if the Mavs are favored and at home, it won’t be easy to make predictions about one of the biggest games of the season.
