D’Angelo Russell’s 44 points led the Los Angeles Lakers to a strong, impressive win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night.
Russell wowed just about everyone, including his coach, his teammates, his opponents, and a ton of NBA analysts.
Speaking of, Skip Bayless was blown away by Russell’s big night.
He hopped on Twitter, hit the caps lock key, and praised the guard:
“WHAT A GAME WITHOUT LEBRON BY D’ANGELO RUSSELL: 44 POINTS ON 17-25 WITH 9-12 FROM 3!!! TWO HUGE LATE RUNNERS INCLUDING THE GAME-WINNER. AS I ALWAYS SAY ON UNDISPUTED, DLO HAS ALL-STAR OFFENSIVE TALENT.”

Bayless has indeed been a big supporter of Russell, especially this season, and has referred to him as a great talent and an All-Star-caliber player.
Earlier this season, the support for Russell was hard to find.
The guard has been back with the Lakers for about a year now and last year’s postseason was filled with some serious ups and downs from him.
He wasn’t playing consistently and it made fans wonder what the team would do with him in 2023-24.
In the weeks leading up to the trade deadline, conventional wisdom said he would be traded to another team.
But Russell took his game up to the next level and has been playing strongly ever since.
His signs of inconsistency are long gone and Russell has been getting better and better as the regular season begins to wind down.
Since the All-Star break, Russell is averaging 21.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 5.7 assists.
He has become a great third option for the Lakers lately and is securing a future with the team.
If Russell continues to play this well for the rest of the season, many others will join Bayless with deep praise for the guard.
