After becoming a household name and revered by the media due to his time on FOX Sports’ “Undisputed” alongside Skip Bayless, Pro Football Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe had a very public falling out with his co-host, which resulted in him leaving the network and ultimately joining forces with Stephen A. Smith on ESPN’s “First Take.”
As if it wasn’t ironic enough that Bayless fell out of favor with another co-host, resulting in a feud of sorts, Sharpe teamed up with the same man Bayless last had a public feud with and then saw his ratings plummet while those of “First Take” went through the roof.
Now, in another twist, “First Take” has never done better with the duo of Smith and Sharpe, while it was reported recently that Bayless will be leaving FOX Sports soon, which some have come to the conclusion was a nice way of saying he was fired.
With the relationship between Bayless and Sharpe being strained, he hasn’t really spoken about his former co-host until recently mentioning him on “Unidisputed” while talking about the former NFL star’s Denver Broncos, who had a shot at pulling off the three-peat, which the Kansas City Chiefs will be trying to do this upcoming season.
“Remember, [John] Elway retired after two…Shannon Sharpe’s Broncos, and they had a real good shot,” Bayless said, via Awful Announcing.

With Bayless set to leave FOX Sports, it’ll be interesting to see whether he decides to retire or join another network, like Sharpe did with ESPN.
Unfortunately for Bayless, the networks and fans may have grown tired of his act, and he might be forced to walk away.
