It took them a while, but the Los Angeles Lakers might be finding their stride once and for all.

They’ve gotten back-to-back big wins against legitimate NBA championship contenders, taking down the Milwaukee Bucks without LeBron James, and then the Minnesota Timberwolves.

That’s why NBA analyst Skip Bayless believes the best is yet to come for Darvin Ham’s team.

Talking on “Undisputed,” he pointed out the fact that this Lakers team might be the deepest in the Western Conference.

He raved about D’Angelo Russell’s newfound stride and about how Austin Reaves is finally coming together again.

Bayless also talked about the Lakers getting a prime defensive player in Jarred Vanderbilt coming back from injury, and he also thinks Gabe Vincent is a bona fide playoff performer who has proven that he’s not afraid of taking big shots in the postseason.

He stated that he doesn’t know if this Lakers team is better than the Denver Nuggets because they’ve lost eight straight to them, but he notes that all games have been close.

It may be hard for some fans to agree with Bayless.

The Lakers have looked solid against winning teams, and they have great defensive potential.

Then again, they’re not even a lock to make the playoffs right now.
