The Green Bay Packers did it again as they were able to successfully bridge the next era of the quarterback position.
Years ago, the Packers took Aaron Rodgers in the first round of the NFL Draft even though they had Brett Favre as the incumbent starter.
Rodgers would go on to lead Green Bay to a Super Bowl and keep them in contention for the rest of his tenure there, though the team once again took their heir apparent in Jordan Love.
There was controversy around the Love pick because Rodgers was still playing at an MVP level, but it proved to be the right move as Love has now established himself as one of the best up-and-coming signal callers in the league.
After a shaky couple of starts to the 2023 NFL season, Love settled in and blossomed into a star on the field as he led the Packers to the 2024 NFL Playoffs.
When asked who the next great quarterback in the league will be, Skip Bayless had no issue declaring Love via The Skip Bayless Show.
“Jordan Love is it,” Bayless said.

It’s hard to argue with Bayless as Love showed steady improvement throughout the regular season and held his own in the playoffs.
Love led Green Bay to a win over the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card Round, a surprising turn of events given that the latter was a favorite to win Super Bowl LVIII.
Now with a full complement of weapons at his disposal, Lovei is poised to take the next step into superstardom.
