There is so much talent on Team USA that it’s nearly impossible to choose the best player.
In a discussion on “Undisputed” about who should be MVP for the Olympics, Skip Bayless said he’d choose Kevin Durant even though many people think LeBron James will take home the honor.
Bayless believes Durant’s first game in the Olympics proves that he’s the most valuable player and someone worthy of all the praise he receives.

Durant gave a lights-out performance against Serbia, coming off the bench and instantly taking control of his team.
The Phoenix Suns star was dominant from beginning to end, which is even more impressive when you consider he had been hurt for weeks.
“He changed everything,” Bayless said of Durant’s showing in the game, noting that Team USA was actually down by six points prior to Durant’s entry in the game.
He also said that Durant is a “nuclear weapon” on the court because he has such an impact, seemingly with such little effort.
A lot of people believe that James will be the team’s MVP.
They think this because he’s a terrific star, but also because this will be his last time at the Olympics.
The storyline around James is perhaps the biggest for Team USA but Durant’s first game has garnered him a ton of attention and changed the narrative.
If Team USA wins the gold, a lot of fans will consider Durant the greatest Team USA basketball player of all time.
The fact that these two stars are in contention for MVP is yet another reminder of just how terrific this team is.
