The Los Angeles Lakers were one of the most discussed teams heading into the 2024 NBA Draft.
Yes, the Lakers needed a few playmakers from the draft, and they seemingly got a good one with Dalton Knecht in the first round.
While Knecht could come in and make an instant impact on the Lakers, he received marginal attention after Round two, as the team took Bronny James with the No. 55 pick in the draft.
Bronny is the son of LeBron James, and there are mixed reviews about what his future holds in the NBA.
Skip Bayless, a known superfan of LeBron, had a few words to say about this pick, which he outlined in a video on Twitter.
“Bronny James belongs with LeBron James. Bronny James can handle playing alongside his all-time great father, the greatest scorer in the history of the NBA. Bronny James was born for this, made for this,” Bayless said.

He also called him a “mentally tough, physically tough” kid, which can add to the total package he brings to the Lakers.
Bayless believes that the pairing of LeBron and Bronny is going to work out.
They will be the first father/son duo in NBA history, a feat that isn’t likely to be replicated in the future.
The moment is theirs to go and grab, especially since they have experienced a lot of naysayers throughout the way.
Can Bronny live up to the legacy that media members like Bayless are trying to script for him?
