The Denver Nuggets completely own the Los Angeles Lakers right now.

Darvin Ham’s team hasn’t been able to crack the code and stop Nikola Jokic, and the Nuggets are just oddly superior.

That was again on full display Saturday night.

The Nuggets managed to hang around for three quarters and then took things up a notch in the final twelve minutes to secure a double-digit win.

With that in mind, NBA analyst Skip Bayless took to Twitter to take yet another shot at LeBron James, his public enemy No. 1.

Bayless made fun of the Lakers by stating that the Nuggets are their “daddy,” pointing out the fact that most of the losses have come in close games, and asking if LeBron is supposed to be the GOAT.

“As Michael Malone said after the Nuggets won last year’s championship, the Nuggets are the Lakers’ daddy. They’ve now beaten the Lakers 8 straight. 6 of the last 7 Denver wins came in games that were close in the 4th quarter. I THOUGHT LEBRON WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE GOAT!?!?” Bayless said.

GOAT or not, we’re talking about a team sport, and James has done his part in most of the losses.

Ham has seemingly been out-coached more often than not when facing a good team, and his reluctance to make timely adjustments has come back to bite his team multiple times.

The Lakers don’t have the personnel to match up with Jokic, and the Nuggets play with the kind of swagger and confidence of a team that knows they’re better than their opponents.

The Nuggets should continue to be considered the team to beat in the league, as they’re still the defending champions and have most of their title-winning core together, and they proved it again on Saturday.
