Los Angeles Lakers guard Bronny James has had a rough go of it in Summer League so far, shooting 6-for-26 through three games for 15 total points including 0-12 from 3-point range.
Undisputed’s Skip Bayless recently revealed his thoughts on Bronny’s performance after last night’s ghastly performance where he shot 3-for-14 for eight points.
After last night’s ghastly performance in a 99-80 loss to the Houston Rockets, Bayless acknowledged that Bronny has fallen into a shooting slump but that he is “Rooting for him. Wincing for him. He’s a much better shooter than this. Just needs to see one 3 go down.”
Now Bronny has fallen into an early Summer League shooting slump – 3-14 tonight … 0-8 from 3. In 3 SL games: 0-12 from 3. Rooting for him. Wincing for him. He’s a much better shooter than this. Just needs to see one 3 go down.

On the bright side for the Lakers, fellow rookie Dalton Knecht was exceptional in the loss last night and went 9-for-18 for 25 points, six rebounds, and four assists.
Bronny acknowledged after the game that he is simply looking to improve and isn’t worried about potentially putting in time in the G-League.
After over two decades of making a living hating on LeBron James, it’s interesting to see Skip take such a positive approach to Bronny over the past few months.
It goes against his status as a certified LeBron hater and makes you wonder what he is up to because if LeBron shot 6-for-26 from the field over three games, Skip would destroy him for weeks on air.
It was unrealistic to expect Bronny to hit the ground running without any adjustment period, as many of his fellow rookies are also shooting poorly and knocking off some rust, but Lakers fans surely would love to see Bronny knock a few shots down before he leaves Las Vegas.
