Skip Bayless’ Dallas Cowboys are heading into a crucial year with head coach Mike McCarthy and quarterback Dak Prescott both in contract years, while star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb and edge rusher Micah Parsons are both in line for huge pay increases as well.
Owner Jerry Jones recently spoke with the media at training camp and shared his thoughts on the current state of the team, stating he is “all in,” which made Bayless reveal the one question he would like to ask Jones.
In a recent episode of The Skip Bayless Show, when asked by a listener what he would ask Jerry Jones if he could ask him one question, Bayless said he’d ask him, “What do you really think of Dak Prescott? If he would be completely honest with me, I believe Jerry would answer that question with, ‘man, I’m still stuck with him.’”

He believes Jones would regret paying Dak so much in the past and would express fear over trading him or letting him walk because he doesn’t know how he’d replace him.
Bayless even threw out the wild scenario of tanking for Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders and possibly luring head coach Deion Sanders to Dallas as well.
Prescott had a huge year in 2023-24 and threw 36 touchdowns with just nine interceptions with a career-high 69.5 percent completion percentage, but he failed in the postseason yet again as his playoff record dropped to a ghastly 2-5.
With seemingly every other QB in the league getting a huge contract extension, it’s glaring that the Cowboys have yet to extend Dak.
