With the season on the line, the Los Angeles Clippers needed to play hard on Friday against the Dallas Mavericks.

They didn’t and the Mavericks easily eliminated them from the playoffs.

After the game, Skip Bayless had a few words for two of the biggest stars in LA: James Harden and Paul George.

“Classic do-or-die James Harden tonight: 0-6 from 3. Vintage big-game “Playoff P”: 2-10 from 3,” Bayless tweeted.

Harden scored 16 points in the game but was ice cold from the three-point line, going 0-of-6 like Bayless said.

Meanwhile, George scored 18 points but was also having trouble from beyond the arc with his lacking 2-of-10.

Unfortunately, Friday night’s game will only further the reputations of both Harden and George.

These two players have been criticized in the past for how they perform in the playoffs.

They do well in the regular season but have problems when the postseason rolls around.

Harden had a lot to prove with the Clippers this season and the playoffs were a chance to show fans that he could put the past behind him and have a strong showing in the postseason.

And while he did have several good games in the opening round against Dallas, his final two games of the season left a lot to be desired.

Clippers fans have now gotten a taste of what followers of the Houston Rockets, Brooklyn Nets, and Philadelphia 76ers have experienced.

The Clippers are committed to Harden for the foreseeable future but George could be leaving the team this summer.

These two players clearly have a lot of talent but they weren’t showing that during their last game of the season.
