The Green Bay Packers kicked off a new era on the right foot.
They took the road to face the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field as four-point underdogs and ended up winning 38-20.
Notably, the game was way more lopsided than one would think from the final score, with the Bears scoring late in the fourth quarter.
That’s why Skip Bayless praised Jordan Love, admitting that he’s never been a fan of Aaron Rodgers on and off the field, so he definitely wants his successor to do much better than he did.

Bayless praised Love for his poise and delivery and how he was able to take control of this football game.
He said that he now understands why reports from training camp and the Packers organization were so high on him throughout the course of the offseason and why they now feel like they can win a lot of football games with him behind center.
Notably, Love looked like he belonged as soon as he set foot on the gridiron.
He completed 15 of 27 passes for 245 yards and three touchdowns, adding three rushes for 12 yards.
He found his guys in stride, and it’s clear that he’s developed strong chemistry with Romeo Doubs, who he found twice in the end zone for a couple of scores.
The Bears’ defense is better than it was last season, at least personnel-wise, but the outcome was the same: They can’t seem to beat the Green Bay Packers.
