The Denver Nuggets did not look like champions during the last two quarters of their loss on Sunday night.

After playing well and building a strong lead during the first half of the game, the Nuggets completely fell apart at the hands of the Minnesota Timberwolves and ultimately lost, 98-90.

On “Undisputed,” Skip Bayless dug into the shocking loss and how it all went wrong for the Nuggets.

He listed the multiple issues with the team but also commended the Timberwolves, who “came to party” and weren’t afraid of playing such a dominant team on the road.

The Timberwolves shocked everyone at the start of the series when they won the first two games in Denver.

That proved that it was possible to defeat the Nuggets even at home in the Mile High City, but beating them in Game 7 was surely going to be harder than defeating them in the first two games.

After not playing well for the first half, the Timberwolves went on an astounding 54-24 run to put the Nuggets on their heels.

There was no coming back for Denver, even though Nikola Jokic was trying his best to get them back into the game.

Bayless commented about Jokic and how he seemed to be on his own for much of the game.

Because of the tough Timberwolves defense, he didn’t have any viable options when it came to passing and was stuck with attempting far too many shots.

And many of those attempts weren’t landing, especially from beyond the three-point line.

Other players on the roster weren’t shooting well either and this allowed the Timberwolves to catch up and take the lead.

Bayless said he was stunned by the collapse of the Nuggets and the resilience of the Timberwolves and he definitely isn’t alone.
