The NFC has apparently gotten a little better going into the 2024 NFL season, as the Los Angeles Rams, Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears are young and improving.

Not everyone felt the Philadelphia Eagles would bounce back and fully return to form after collapsing down the stretch of last season.

But on Thursday, the Eagles took a step forward when they acquired wide receiver Jahan Dotson from the Washington Commanders for three 2025 draft picks.

Sports commentator Skip Bayless, a well-known Dallas Cowboys fan, said on Twitter that the Eagles “just won the Super Bowl” with the deal and said general manager Howie Roseman should be the Executive of the Year.

Meanwhile, Bayless took a shot at Cowboys owner Jerry Jones for the team’s meager offseason moves.

I’ve hated the Eagles since I was 10 years old. But I cannot tell a lie: They just won the Super Bowl, because Howie Roseman is the Executive of the Year … while Jerry Jones is the executive of the rear.

Dotson will give Philly a legitimate WR3 who is just 24 years of age and could have some upside moving forward.

In 2023, his second season in the NFL, he had 49 catches for 518 yards and four touchdowns.

Philly already has had arguably the best star wide receiver tandem in football in A..J. Brown and Devonta Brown, both of whom they signed to contract extensions during the offseason.

They also acquired star running back Saquon Barkley to augment their overall offense and complement quarterback Jalen Hurts’ ability to gain yardage with his legs.

Right now, the Eagles are certainly the favorites to finish first in the NFC East, but of course, the real question is whether they’re the second-best team in the conference or if they even have a real shot at returning to the Super Bowl.
