At this point in time, it seems as though LeBron James’ window to win championships in the NBA might finally be closed, with the Los Angeles Lakers looking like a rudderless ship and the superstar forward not getting any younger as he’ll turn 40 in December.

All signs are pointing to the Lakers having to go through the Play-In Tournament once again to the make the NBA playoffs, and even if they can accomplish that feat, they’ll face some scrappy young teams in the Western Conference in order to advance to likely face the Denver Nuggets once again, who obviously have the Lakers’ number.

With James’ stint with the Lakers potentially ending sooner rather than later and the future looking bleak in terms of him being able to contend again in the NBA, Skip Bayless of FOX Sports did a deep dive on the four-time NBA champion once again this week.

Bayless went in on James still being a poor free-throw shooter after all these years and how he still ranks the superstar forward ninth on his all-time list of NBA greats, via “The Skip Bayless Show.”

“Playing longer does not make you better,” Bayless said.

It seems as though the only way James will change the minds of those who don’t already think he’s the greatest player to ever play the game is by winning at least one more title, even though he’d still be behind Michael Jordan, who played only 15 seasons in the league.

Even though that might be the case, it is what it is at this point, as James has had his chances, but anything can happen from here on out as there might be one last run in him before he calls it a career.
