When the average person thinks about Snoop Dogg, they likely either think of his rap career or about his recent commercial appearances.
However, Snoop Dogg is also an avid football fan and has made several appearances on sports talk shows to discuss what is happening in the NFL.
He recently appeared on Rich Eisen’s show, talking about Caleb Williams, one of the most highly-touted quarterback prospects in the last decade.
Williams is slated to go No. 1 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft, pending a surprise move.
When discussing Williams’ abilities, Snoop Dogg boldly said, “I feel like he’s a young version of Patrick Mahomes.”
“I feel like he’s a young version of @PatrickMahomes.”

This is high praise for a player that hasn’t yet been drafted, let alone step foot on an NFL field.
Analysts tend to make comparisons of upcoming players, hoping to give fans some insight into what might unfold after they get drafted.
While Williams’s play style might have resembled Mahomes’s while he was at USC, playing at the highest level is a different animal.
Many other quarterbacks throughout NFL history have been given similar comparisons, but they can’t fulfill those expectations when they get to the league.
It will be interesting to see if Williams lives up to the hype and can provide the level of impact that Snoop Dogg and many other football fans anticipate.
Otherwise, Williams could be another bust of a No. 1 overall pick, proving to everyone that, for as good as NFL scouts have become, a sure thing is impossible in this league.
