The Chicago Bears play in one of the most iconic stadiums, not only in the National Football League but also in all professional sports.
However, the legendary Soldier Field has definitely seen better days in the past.
The turf isn’t particularly at it’s best ahead of their preseason contest vs. the Cincinnati Bengals.
According to a report by Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, GM Ryan Poles and assistant GM Ian Cunningham have been inspecting different spots on the field.
He adds that the actual field isn’t as bad as it looks from an elevated view, but it’s still not in the shape it’s supposed to be with the start of the season just some weeks away, adding that the team is ‘definitely’ looking into this.
From what I have been told the field isn’t as bad as it can look from an elevated view, but it’s not in tip-top shape as it has been the last few seasons. Team is definitely looking into this.

The Bears have a responsibility to make sure the field is in top condition; they must get to work around the clock and fix what needs to be fixed.
They’re expected to be one of the most improved teams in the league next season, and it would be a huge shame to see Caleb Williams or any of their stars getting hurt for something that could’ve been avoided.
Even if it’s not to protect their own players, every single NFL team should abide by certain standards and make sure that their playing surface is as close to perfect shape as humanly possible.
This will be an exciting campaign for the Bears, and the fans, players, and everybody tuning in at home deserve a great experience.
