During his NFL career, Frank Gore was one of the best running backs in the league and one of its most durable players, as he has the record for the most games played at the position at 241.

After ending his career with the New York Jets in 2020, the five-time Pro Bowler headed into retirement with an impressive resume and legacy that might make him a strong candidate for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The 41-year-old is currently a football adviser for the San Francisco 49ers, the team that drafted him back in 2005 with the No. 65 overall pick.

While he embarks on a post-playing career with the 49ers, his legacy continues on the field through his son, Frank Gore Jr., who is trying to make a name for himself on the professional level.

The younger Gore went undrafted this year and was signed by the Buffalo Bills, but according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, he was unable to make their 53-man roster.

Gore Jr. might’ve been a long shot to make the final roster for the Bills, with their running back room led by starter James Cook with quite a few backups behind him, including Ray Davis and Ty Johnson.

Although Gore Jr. couldn’t stick with Buffalo, he may get another chance elsewhere in the NFL, even if it is on a practice squad where he can develop and potentially play in the league in the future.
