Now that he’s officially a member of the San Antonio Spurs, everyone is asking a few questions about Victor Wembanyama.

According to multiple reports, and via theScore, Wembanyama will not be traveling to Sacramento during the start of the summer league for two games but will then join his team in Las Vegas to play against the Charlotte Hornets on July 7.

That means that in only just a few weeks, we will see Wembanyama play in a Spurs jersey for the first time.
There is definitely a lot riding on Wembanyama.
He truly is one of the most coveted and highly-anticipated draft picks in NBA history.
People think he can actually change the team and perhaps the rest of the league if he lives up to the hype.
It’s important to remember that Wembanyama might not be as explosive and consequential during his several summer league games.
The NBA’s summer league isn’t known for games that are competitive as the regular season.
Players don’t always push themselves as hard nor do they play for as many minutes.
It’s a chance for athletes and coaching staff to try new things, make adjustments, and get a feel for chemistry on the court.
Since the games have no real consequences or impact, players are sometimes benched so they don’t run the risk of hurting themselves and missing games during the regular season.
He might not play for a whole game in the preseason since he has a very long year ahead of him.
But Wembanyama is going to draw a lot of attention on July 7.
