The San Antonio Spurs can’t seem to stop the bleeding.
They’ve lost 18 games in a row and things could be spiraling out of control.
With that in mind, NBA insider Marc Spears reveals that the Spurs could be looking to make a move.
Apparently, Keldon Johnson isn’t proving to be a good fit for the team.
“If there is a player that I think does get moved from the Spurs, my guess it’ll probably be Keldon Johnson,” Spears said.
Keldon Johnson the odd man out in San Antonio?
“You know who I got my eye on with the Spurs? Keldon Johnson I keep hearing this buzz about, ‘Not sure if he fits in well with this group going forward and should he be coming off the bench.’ If there is a player that I think does… pic.twitter.com/I77khc5Qp6

Johnson has a bright future and has shown glimpses of great play, but Spears doesn’t believe he’s a part of the team’s plans going forward and could be the odd man out.
Devin Vassell has emerged as the team’s primary ball-handler and scorer, and Johnson could create some spacing problems next to Victor Wembanyama.
Johnson is quite young and should have plenty of value around the league.
He’s long enough to play both forward spots and can score from all three levels.
The Spurs are likely headed toward another top-3 pick in the upcoming NBA Draft, and they would be wise to look to maximize their current assets and get more draft capital for years to come.
With that in mind, perhaps they could look to swap Johnson for some expiring contracts and veterans and a draft pick, and it wouldn’t be shocking to see multiple teams looking forward to making a run at the Kentucky product.
In the meantime, it might take a while before they win another game, as crazy as that may sound for a team like the San Antonio Spurs and Gregg Popovich.
