On Friday night, everyone was talking about the performance of Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs.

The incoming rookie had a stellar game and showed just how talented he really is.

Following the game, his teammate Devin Vassell spoke about the potential and power of Wembanyama.

“He’s going to make the game so much easier for us, and we gotta make the game easier for him,” Vassell said, according to HoopsHype.

He added: “He’s gonna make us a play every game where you just look down like, ‘What the heck just happened?’”

Wembanyama definitely had an outstanding night with his 23 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 blocks in 23 minutes.

In that short amount of time, he reminded people why he’s the most-talked-about rookie in years.

But he wasn’t the only one wowing the fans.

Vassell himself had a marvelous game too: he scored 21 points and shot 6-of-7 from the three-point line.

This is important because the entire Spurs roster will have to play well in 2023-24 if they wish to win.

Just having Wembanyama won’t be enough, everyone else will have to step up.

Vassell is about to enter his fourth season in the league which means he can teach Wembanyama a lot about how to play professional ball in the NBA.

He will also teach him more about how to believe in himself and trust his instincts.

If Wembanyama does that, he can really live up to the hype.

And if that happens, the Spurs might have a chance to finally reach the playoffs again.
