Some Milwaukee Bucks fans were worried about not having Giannis Antetokounmpo on the floor for Game 2 versus the Miami Heat, and rightfully so.
Not having your leading scorer could be dreadful for most teams in the playoffs, but the Bucks are no ordinary squad.
As a matter of fact, they just set a record for the most points scored (138) without a team’s leading scorer in NBA postseason history, according to ESPN Stats & Info.

Giannis is one of the most unstoppable scorers in the league.
His presence forces defenses to build a wall and make countless adjustments, yet he still averages well north of 30 points per contest.
But as crucial as he is, Mike Budenholzer needed to err on the side of caution and give him some more time to heal.
It was a risky move, as falling 0-2 at home could’ve ended their aspirations for the season.
Still, the NBA-best Bucks have proven over and over to be more than just a one-man show, and they have the depth to hold the fort while their best player gets a breather.
Giannis suffered a lower-back contusion after rolling over Kevin Love in an attempted drive to the rim, and while he was listed as questionable ahead of Game 2, the team ruled him out shortly before tip-off.
X-rays and MRIs came back clean, and it’ll eventually depend on whether Giannis can handle the pain, so there’s a better chance we see him back on the floor when the series heads to South Beach for Games 3 and 4.
