As per the above tweet, Los Angeles Lakers superstar Anthony Davis leads the league in total blocks with 44 swats to his name.

Davis is closely followed by Brook Lopez, who is in the second spot with 43 blocks.

Wembanyama and Holmgren are currently No. 3 and 4 on the list, with 39 and 34 blocks to their names, respectively.

Last but not least is the Minnesota Timberwolves’ Rudy Gobert with 31 blocks.

Speaking of Wembanyama, the number one overall pick of the 2023 NBA Draft is currently averaging 18.8 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game for the San Antonio Spurs this season.

On the other hand, Oklahoma City Thunder rookie Holmgren is averaging 17.1 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game for the organization this season.

The two players are bound to cross paths with each other during the NBA’s 2024 Rookie of the Year race.

Holmgren may get the better of Wembanyama ultimately due to the Thunder being the second-best team in the Western Conference while the Spurs are in the last spot.
