The Los Angeles Lakers have had a rocky 2022-23 NBA season, to say the least, with a lot going wrong at one point and then shifting in the right direction after some brilliant moves made at the NBA trade deadline.
With the acquisitions of D’Angelo Russell, Rui Hachimura, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Malik Beasley helping turn things around for the Lakers, the storied NBA franchise was able to make the Play-in Tournament and ultimately clinch the seventh seed in the Western Conference.
After making easy work of the second-seeded Memphis Grizzlies in five games in the first round, the Lakers are now matched up with the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors and have a 2-1 series lead.
The odds have shifted in the Lakers’ favor, with the franchise having an impressive stat that may put a little fear in the Warriors moving forward via the NBA on ESPN.

Winning 25 consecutive best-of-seven series after winning Game 1 is impressive, but even though that tilts the scales for the Lakers, the series isn’t over yet, with Golden State being as resilient a team as there is in the playoffs right now.
On Monday night, these two Western Conference heavyweights will go head-to-head in Game 4 in Los Angeles at Crypto.com Arena, which will likely be a battle from start to finish.
The Lakers can take a commanding 3-1 series lead on Monday before they head back to the Bay Area for Game 5 on Wednesday at the Chase Center in San Francisco, which is as tough a place to play in the NBA as there is in the postseason.
