It is time for fans of the Golden State Warriors to hit the panic button because things are definitely not going well for their team right now.
On Monday night, the Warriors lost their second game in a row and are now 2-0 behind the Sacramento Kings in the first round of the playoffs.
Last June, they were celebrated as the NBA champions yet again.
In just a few days, they could be out before the second round.
NBA University crunched the numbers about the Warriors’ performance so far.
They found some startling facts.
Through the first two games, the Warriors had a 17.7% turnover rate.
That would have topped the Houston Rockets as the most turnover-prone team in the league.
Additionally, they have given up offensive rebounds on 37% of missed shots, which would give them the worst defensive rebound percentage in the NBA too.
NBA University said it clearly: “They’re getting killed in the possession game.”

The Warriors haven’t lost two back-to-back playoff games since 2019.
That when they ended up falling to the Toronto Raptors in the Finals.
If they end up losing this series, it’ll be a startling wake-up call to one of the most celebrated NBA teams of all time.
It’ll also be a testament to just how real and dangerous the Kings are.
The good news for the Warriors is that they do have time to turn it around.
It’s not impossible to come back from a 2-0 deficit, but it certainly isn’t easy.
If they are going to win four games in this series, they will need to stop turning the ball over and work much harder on rebounding.
They have one of the smartest and most accomplished and most experienced rosters in the league.
Can they put together a game plan that fixes the serious errors bringing them down?
