The Los Angeles Lakers dug deep into the free-agent market to try and get high-impact players at a reasonable price.
However, that’s very difficult to do, and the Lakers are finding out the hard way.
As usually happens with the Lakers, the media and the fans overhyped and overrated their newcomers, raving about the so-called depth Darvin Ham’s team would now have.
One of their offseason moves was to sign Cam Reddish, but the Duke product has been far from good for them this season.
Besides missing a wide-open game-winning shot, Reddish has shot the ball quite poorly, as pointed out by Legion Hoops.

He’s been held scoreless twice and has yet to score in double digits.
Thus far, Reddish is averaging 4.4 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game on 30.6% from the floor and 12.5% from beyond the arc.
He’s made some improvements on the defensive end of the floor, but he’s becoming hard to watch on offense, and it hasn’t been because of a lack of opportunities or limited playing time.
Reddish has always been considered one of the most talented young players in the game, but he has never done anything in the NBA to prove that he can actually live up to that status.
The years go by, and it seems like those days of dominating in high school might never happen again.
