With the Philadelphia 76ers potentially a move or two away from being the team to beat in the Eastern Conference, there’s been a lot of talk during the NBA offseason about what the team should do moving forward.

The obvious move for Philadelphia would be to trade veteran forward Tobias Harris, who is in the last year of his contract with the team and can still play at a high level, meaning he’d be an intriguing option for other teams.

Although Harris is in the ideal situation to be traded, the 76ers seem adamant about keeping him, and after looking at what he’s accomplished in his five years in Philadelphia, it seems like a smart move by the team.

According to StatMuse, Harris has been highly efficient during his time in Philadelphia and is arguably their best player statistically, behind reigning NBA MVP Joel Embiid.

With those statistics, it’s not all that surprising why the team has chosen to stick with Harris moving forward, as he’s been vital to the team’s success while not getting the credit he deserves for being the team’s best player behind Embiid.

The real question in Philadelphia this summer is what the future holds for superstar guard James Harden, who has been rumored to be considering leaving the team in free agency to rejoin the Houston Rockets.

Although the narrative has changed recently, with Harden potentially leaning toward staying in Philadelphia, there’s still some uncertainty there, which is obviously concerning for a franchise looking to contend for the next few years.
