The Tennessee Titans have had some very good players over the years, but not many superstars.

Of course, several legendary wideouts have taken their talents there to spend the final years of their careers, just like Randy Moss or Julio Jones.

Notably, DeAndre Hopkins could be the next in line to follow that trend, as he’s expected to sign with them in the next couple of hours or days.

Needless to say, that would give their passing game a huge boost, as he’d instantly be the most proficient receiver in their organization, and it’s not even close.

According to a graphic by ESPN shared by NFL insider Ari Meirov, Hopkins will be — by far — the receiving touchdowns leader in the franchise with 72 touchdown receptions in his career.

Mike Vrabel (who played LB) had the most career receiving TDs on the #Titans roster until they added DeAndre Hopkins on Sunday.

Without him, former linebacker Mike Vrabel — who also happens to be their head coach — would be the leader in that regard with just 12.

That speaks volumes of the talent shortage the Titans were dealing with prior to Hopkins’ signing, a situation they desperately needed to address if they were serious about contending next season.

The AFC South could be up for grabs, with the Jacksonville Jaguars as the likely candidate to take it home, so adding Hopkins puts them back in the mix to win the division.

Then again, some doubt he’s still got what it takes to dominate and make a positive impact, and the Titans might end up regretting spending that much money on an aging star entering the backend of his career.
