When the Boston Celtics added Jrue Holiday last summer, it was thought that he’d be a crucial part of the team, partly because of his postseason experience.
But so far, he isn’t delivering in the playoffs.
According to NBACentral, Holiday has grown ice cold recently.
He scored just 4 points during Thursday night’s surprising loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, shooting 2-of-7 from the field.
He scored 14 points and 10 points in the two previous games.
And before that, he earned just 11, 3, 9, and 6 points.

Those are not the sort of numbers that fans want to see, especially since Holiday averaged 12.5 points per game this season with a 48% field goal percentage.
For his career, Holiday has an average of 16.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.8 assists.
Of course, Holiday was coveted by the Celtics for more than just shooting and he has also been celebrated as a strong defensive presence during games.
That means that even if he’s going through a shooting slump, he can help out his team and assist them on their way to the NBA Finals.
Thankfully for the Celtics, they have still won the majority of their postseason games so far, even with Holiday struggling.
However, they obviously want him to climb out of this rut as soon as possible, especially because the competition is only getting harder.
The Cavaliers shocked the Celtics and their fans with Thursday’s game and there is a chance they can do it again.
That means that now is the time for Holiday to start helping out even more.
If the Celtics make it to the Eastern Conference Finals and beyond, they will need everyone playing their best basketball of the season.
Right now, Holiday isn’t the player he was just weeks ago.
