Last season, the Minnesota Timberwolves repeatedly struggled and didn’t live up to expectations.

That isn’t the case this year and the Timberwolves are currently the best team in the NBA with a record of 16-4.

StatMuse pointed out that the big three of Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Edwards, and Rudy Gobert has been recording incredible number so far.

Towns is averaging 21.8 points and 9.1 rebounds, while Edwards is putting up 25.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 5.1 assists.

Gobert has once again become a dominant force with an average of 13.4 points, 12.1 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks.

After their rough, disappointing season in 2022-23, the Timberwolves are back in a big way.

At the start of last season, expectations were sky-high for the Timberwolves.

The team had just moved a ton of assets to sign Gobert from the Utah Jazz and fans expected they could be one of the best teams in the Western Conference.

They were not and they hardly made the playoffs before being pushed out in the opening round.

What a difference a year makes, because the Timberwolves are now the team they promised they’d be.

There are a number of reasons for this, including a growing cohesion and chemistry between these big three.

Last season also saw Towns miss a majority of the season because of an injury, which threw a wrench into their plans.

So far, this team has stayed healthy and intimidating on both ends of the court.

Minnesota’s deep roster and bench as well as their dedication to defense have also made the team thrive even more.

At the center of it all are Towns, Edwards, and Gobert, but the entire Timberwolves team has evolved and grown.
