It’s been a tough season for the San Antonio Spurs.

However, most fans shouldn’t be disappointed or mad about it.

If anything, it has allowed No. 1 pick Victor Wembanyama to roam free out there, playing without pressure or a sense of urgency, and that has done wonders for his development.

Granted, Wembanyama has been vocal about his frustration and desire to win, but player development was way more important for the organization this season.

And develop he has.

As shown by Redditor OrdinaryFlower1 (via Legion Hoops), the French star has been on a roll over his past 20 games, averaging 23.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 4.6 blocks, and 1.7 steals per game in just 31 minutes of action.

Wembanyama is putting on a show night in and night out, swatting shots into the stands, crossing over defenders, knocking down shots from the perimeter, and setting his teammates up with his elite court vision.

We’re talking about the ultimate jack of all trades here, and while his impact hasn’t translated into wins, he’s had one of the most impressive rookie seasons of all time.

The fact that Wembanyama is just getting started should be a scary thought for the rest of the league.

He can do it all on both ends of the floor, and he has the desire to be coached and get better, which can also play a huge role in his development.

Wembanyama has been as good as advertised, and it’ll be very exciting to watch his journey.
