For years now, people have said that LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers is one of the most powerful playoff performers ever.

They say that “Playoff LeBron” is a whole different animal from who he is during the regular season: stronger, more focused, and harder to stop.

The numbers definitely suggest that he’s a fearsome competitor in the postseason.

According to StatMuse, James has had six playoff runs with 500+ points, 150+ rebounds, and 150+ assists.

That’s five more than both Nikola Jokic and Larry Bird, who are tied with one apiece.

James is fresh off of yet another postseason, one where he found more success than people expected.

At the beginning of last season, James and his Lakers were in very bad shape.

When they started the year with a 2-10 record, nearly everyone – including diehard fanatics – wrote the team off and said that perhaps they’d have better luck next season.

But the Lakers had a tremendous turnaround in February at the trade deadline and they ended up looking better and better.

This eventually led to them pushing into the postseason from the play-in games and going as far as the Western Conference Finals.

Of course, they got swept by the eventual champions, the Denver Nuggets, but their run was still admirable.

Most people assume that James only has a few more postseasons left in him before he retires.

Fans of the Lakers are very hopeful that the recent playoffs were just the start of a new era for the team.

With James leading the way and a slew of younger stars backing him and Anthony Davis up, perhaps their presence in the postseason can be permanent.

How many playoff runs with 500+ points, 150+ rebounds, and 150+ assists can James retire with?
