Of the 14 teams that made it to the NFL playoffs this year, the Pittsburgh Steelers are perhaps the biggest surprise and underdog heading into Wild Card Weekend.

The Steelers have had an up-and-down season, with the team really struggling to get anything going offensively throughout the 2023 campaign, as head coach Mike Tomlin hasn’t been able to figure out how to turn this offense into a force to be reckoned with.

Even though the offense has been awful, resulting in the team firing offensive coordinator Matt Canada earlier in the regular season, the Steelers have been able to do enough with their defense to be playoff-bound and extend their season for at least one more week.

Unfortunately, the Steelers will be without their best player on Sunday on the road against the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium, with superstar linebacker T.J. Watt set to miss this playoff game due to a knee injury.

However, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Pittsburgh was able to activate safety Damontae Kazee to the roster ahead of this showdown with the Bills in Buffalo.

Kazee is coming off a three-game suspension by the league for illegally using a helmet, which was a controversial decision by the NFL.

The 30-year-old safety is one of the best defensive players on the Steelers roster, so this is a move that was needed for this game against Josh Allen and company, especially with Watt stuck on the sideline with a knee injury.

It’ll be interesting to see if the Steelers can hold their own defensively with Kazee and the absence of Watt.
