The Pittsburgh Steelers made some big moves this offseason.
Stealing Patrick Queen from the Baltimore Ravens was a massive win, as not only did they revamp their defense with an elite player, but they also made one of their divisional rivals weaker.
They also revamped their quarterback room by adding Russell Wilson and Justin Fields.
Nonetheless, there were some concerns about their depth at wide receiver.
There wasn’t a clear-cut star besides George Pickens, and with Roman Wilson suffering an ankle injury in training camp, there were doubts about who could step up.
However, Steelers insider Brooke Pryor believes they may have found their WR2 already.
Much has been made about the Steelers’ need for a WR2, but Van Jefferson has been sneaky good in camp. Just had a great snag in team drills, and he’s been good for at least one highlight-reel catch a practice.

Apparently, WR Van Jefferson has been ‘sneaky good’ in practice thus far, with at least one highlight reel kind of catch a day.
Of course, Jefferson has all the talent in the world, and he had a promising first year in the league.
Still, the former Los Angeles Rams wideout has struggled to establish himself in the league or find any sort of consistency, which is why some fans and analysts are still somewhat skeptical about him.
The Steelers will most likely employ a run-heavy offense, with Pickens and TE Pat Freiermuth handling the bulk of the passing game.
Even so, you can never have too many reliable pass-catchers on the team, and finding another player who can step up on a consistent basis will be key to the team’s success — or lack thereof.
Hopefully, they have that guy on the roster already.
