The Pittsburgh Steelers can’t catch a break with their offense.
Just when it seemed like they had found their WR2 for the upcoming season, a concerning injury update emerged.
According to a report by Kyle Yates, rookie WR Roman Wilson was carted off the field after suffering an apparent foot injury in practice.

Needless to say, it’s never a good sign when a player has to be carted off the field.
The Steelers haven’t shared any sort of update regarding the situation just yet.
Wilson had drawn plenty of positive reviews throughout the course of the offseason.
WR Calvin Austin III had recently called him ‘a dog,’ praising him for his competitive nature, his determination to get better, and asking all the right questions.
The Steelers are likely to deploy a run-heavy offense under Arthur Smith and with Russell Wilson under center.
Even so, they clearly needed someone to step up opposite George Pickens, who’s expected to handle the bulk of the workload in the passing game.
Wilson seemed to be leading the race early in the offseason, which is why this could be a massive blow for Mike Tomlin’s team.
Of course, it’s still early to jump to conclusions, and there’s still some time before the start of the season for him to heal from whichever ailment he might be dealing with.
Hopefully, this will be nothing more than a scare, and this is a story that’s worth keeping an eye on over the next couple of days.
